John Nater has dedicated his life’s work to serving his community.
Raised on his family's pig farm in Logan Township (now West Perth),
John learned the value of hard work from an early age. He applied that same dedication to his studies, earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Carleton University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Queen’s University.
John began his public service as a member of West Perth Municipal Council from 2010 to 2014. In 2015, he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Perth-Wellington.
As MP, John has focused on making life better for all his constituents: his priorities have included improving local infrastructure, expanding rural internet access, supporting Canadian agriculture, reducing internal trade barriers, and protecting children and vulnerable individuals.
John has also served on the Public Accounts Committee, pushing for greater accountability and more efficient government.
John, his wife Justine, and their three children live in Mitchell.
