John Nater, a lifelong resident of Perth-Wellington, embodies the spirit of dedicated service and conservative values. Raised on a family pig farm in Logan Township (now West Perth), John has a deep connection to our community and a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities we face.

Our Community, Our Values

John's commitment to our community is evident from his extensive involvement in local politics and volunteerism. He has worked tirelessly on numerous political campaigns, promoting conservative values at all levels—national, provincial, and local. His academic background, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Queen’s University, has equipped him with the knowledge to effectively represent our interests.

Experienced Leadership

Before his election to Parliament, John served the Mitchell Ward on the West Perth Municipal Council from 2010 to 2014, advocating for local needs and contributing to our community’s development. Since being elected as the Member of Parliament for Perth—Wellington in the 42nd General Election in 2015, and subsequently re-elected in 2019 and 2021, John has continued to be a strong, reliable voice in Ottawa, fighting for the policies and initiatives that matter most to us.
